Aneurysms - a dangerous and insidious vascular disease

Atherosclerosis

Our body's circulatory system is associated almost exclusively with the heart. This very important organ acts as a pump that supplies blood to almost every cell in our body. This process, however, would not make any sense if it were not for the arterial vascular system into which the blood is forced. Due to the very high pressures that the heart generates, arteries are much more robust vessels than veins. Unfortunately, even in spite of these characteristics, which give them an extremely high degree of resilience, arteries can become damaged or pathological. Some of the most dangerous are aneurysms.
