Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common allergic skin diseases. The prevalence of this disease is currently 2 - 5 % of the general white population, reaching up to 20 % in young children. There has been a significant increase in the incidence in recent years, which may be due to environmental pollution, increased exposure to house dust mites and food additives, as well as increasingly rare breastfeeding. Skin lesions vary depending on the age of the patient. Prevention and proper care of the patient play the greatest role in treatment.
