The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that infants should be breastfed only until the end of the sixth month of life and, after the diet has been expanded, until they are two years old or older. In the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship, a survey of the entire population of children up to the age of two years was carried out as part of the regional Programme for the Promotion of Breastfeeding and Breastfeeding of Children.
