When preparing for pregnancy, it is advisable for both partners to take care of the quality of their diet, as it affects hormonal balance, the health of the reproductive cells and the overall health of the body. It is important to provide vitamins C, D, E and B vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and minerals such as zinc, selenium and iron, which support ovulation, sperm motility and embryo implantation. On the other hand, alcohol, processed foods, trans fats and caffeine should be limited. Meals should be regular, varied and based on fresh vegetables, fruit, high-fibre products, complete protein and healthy fats.
