Lumbosacral spine pain is currently one of the most common health problems caused by musculoskeletal dysfunction, becoming a disease of civilisation. According to the results of the Polish population health survey, spinal disorders affect 16% of the Polish population over 15 years of age, being the second most frequent cause of chronic conditions.
One of the causes of pain in the lumbar spine is intervertebral disc disease, known as discopathy, which can lead to disc protrusion and herniation with pressure on nerve roots, known as radiculopathy.
