AD is a chronic skin condition that affects children more often than adults. It is characterised by, among other things, itching and dry skin. The causes of AD are not fully understood, but it is thought that it may be influenced by genetic, environmental or stress factors. Supporting the treatment of atopic dermatitis is a well-chosen diet that takes into account the needs of the patient. The primary dietary modification is to exclude products that cause food allergies, which are a common symptom of AD. In addition, highly processed foods should be excluded from the diet. It is important that all dietary modifications are made under the guidance of a dietician and physician.
