Suicide as a cause of death is fortunately recorded less and less frequently. However, the number of deaths due to suicide still exceeds the number of victims of traffic accidents. According to the Police Headquarters, there were 12013 suicide attempts in 2020, of which 5165 were completed. Women aged 15-49 made 2155 suicide attempts. Of particular note is the predominance of suicide attempts in women over men in younger age groups.
