Endometriosis can affect reproductive processes at many stages. It can cause disturbances in the functioning of the ovaries, fallopian tubes or other pelvic organs. Even in mild variants of endometriosis, there may be difficulties with embryo implantation in the uterine cavity. Diagnosis can sometimes be difficult and takes time. Diagnosis includes gynaecological examination, imaging studies and, in some cases, laparoscopy.
