Genodermatoses are a group of rare skin conditions that are caused by genetic disorders in the form of mutations. They are the cause of abnormalities in transcription pathways, disrupting the proper functioning of an organ such as the skin. Molecular diagnostics should form the basis for confirming the diagnosis and planning the diagnostic process, but at present, medical knowledge of these issues is inadequate and needs to be expanded in further clinical studies.
