Stretch marks

Lipodemia is a condition affecting adipose tissue, the aetiology of which is still unknown. Very often the condition is confused with other diseases (including lymphoedema). Lipid oedema manifests itself as symmetrical swelling of both legs, which are also painful and feel heavy. Nodules can also be felt under the skin. The disease mainly affects women (several per cent) after puberty.
