Non-celiac gluten hypersensitivity, is a relatively new concept - as a disease entity, it was classified in 2010. For a long time, the existence of this type of ailment was questioned. Interestingly, the ailment that accompanies the disease has been known to patients and doctors for a very long time (several decades). The condition is diagnosed once the suspicion that it is coeliac disease or a gluten allergy has been eliminated.
