Children's games

Sometimes children try to eat things - sand, dirt from the floor, paper, etc., but they soon learn that it doesn't taste good and they stop this practice. In young children this is a natural way of exploring the world and should not be considered a disease. Some children, however, do not stop eating things that are not meant to be eaten, a condition called pica, or distorted appetite.
