Probably no-one needs convincing that alcohol consumed in excess damages health. It is well known that excessive alcohol consumption can result, for example, in cirrhosis of the liver, but it is less frequently mentioned that other serious consequences of alcohol dependence are post-alcoholic mental disorders. These include a variety of problems that can manifest as hallucinations or delusions of jealousy.
