Summer is the perfect time for sunbathing. A time of relaxation and leisure, combined with exposure of the body to the sun, is something many of us have been looking forward to since the last holiday. However, on hot days it is important to remember to sunbathe with the proverbial head - protecting it properly will ensure proper safety and allow us to enjoy our trip long after it is over.
Escaping heat
40 per cent of heat escapes through the head. This is why wearing a hat is so important in winter. Although this problem is minimised in summer, a baseball cap or a brimmed hat can still be very important items in our wardrobe. A simple, airy hat provides excellent protection from the sun's rays.
There are, of course, many types of caps. There are those that are impervious to water when it rains. In the mountains, a beanie with a windstopper may be practical as the best protection against the wind. Regardless of the size of our wallet and depending on our needs, however, it is worth buying at least a simple jockey cap, which, by protecting our head - reduces the risk of sunburn, reduces the risk of cancerous lesions and also prevents rapid skin ageing. In addition, if one is prone to the occurrence of hyperpigmentation on the body, then without any protection, the risk of spots increases.
Not just a hat
Wearing wide-brimmed hats is also a practical solution. Not only do they protect your head, but they also cast shade on your face and neck. You can also use a headscarf, preferably with a strong weave, as it lets less light through. It must cover the whole head. Referring to colour, it is worth remembering that black attracts light, while white reflects it.
Rush hour
The sun's greatest activity is between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. However, even if you leave work at 3.30 p.m., it is also worth protecting your head. Especially if you have been in a cool, air-conditioned room for 8 hours.
I see darkness
...because I look through dark glasses. This prevents our eyes from being negatively affected by the sun's rays. However, not all sunglasses absorb UV rays, so be sure to check this before buying.

Creams with the right filter
You can give your skin a boost and protect it better by using the right cosmetics. Special ingredients in the preparations protect the DNA and collagen fibres. The European Union has introduced sunscreen labels (low, medium, high and very high protection). It is advisable to take this into account and, when choosing a product to prevent rapid skin ageing, to choose one with at least medium protection.
You may faint
The mixture of sun, humidity and high temperatures can lead to stroke. So if you spend too much time in the sun and feel a headache, run a fever or get into a general state of faintness - be sure to see a doctor, as failure to respond can cause an adverse effect. Always remember to cover your head to avoid unpleasant consequences.
Sensible sunbathing
Every activity carries a certain risk. So it is not a question of giving up the sun completely, as its action is necessary for the body. Sunbathing has a positive effect on the metabolism, regulates blood pressure, provides vitamins and improves immunity. And by the way, it is a great way to relax.
With a hat, sunglasses and the right sunbathing oil with UV filter, you can enjoy the sun. Adequate protection in such heat is essential; remember your head above all. A stroke can have very unpleasant consequences.
