The consequences of suffering from this syndrome can lead to bone necrosis, deformity and distortion of the spine. The disease significantly deforms the thoracic spine. The first symptoms appear at the time of vertebral body growth, i.e. between 12 and 16 years of age. Unfortunately, the abnormal growth of the vertebral bodies leads to the so-called wedging of the vertebrae and, consequently, their deformation.
