Uterine myoma is one of the most common benign tumours of the reproductive organs in women of reproductive age. By the age of 35 years or older, it occurs in 30% of Caucasian women and in almost half of Black women. It is most common in the endometrium, but can also develop in other parts of the reproductive organs.
