Platelet rich plasma

Plasma is the essential fluid component of blood in which the morphotic components are suspended. Plasma includes water, proteins, albumin, globulins, lipoproteins. Platelet-rich plasma contains an increased amount of platelets.

Where is platelet-rich plasma used?

The application possibilities are vast. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is commonly used in the regeneration of skeletal muscle injuries, tendons, ligaments, joint injuries and bone inflammation. It is proven to accelerate the healing process of soft tissues. It appears that platelet-rich plasma is increasingly being used in aesthetic medicine to remove wrinkles and skin discolouration.

What does a vampire lift look like?

The first stage is to draw blood from the patient. The doctor draws blood to a volume of approximately 60 mL. The blood samples are centrifuged to separate erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelet-rich plasma. The resulting preparation is used to inject the skin. As effects, doctors point to a significant improvement in the skin's blood supply, smoothing of wrinkles, remodelling of collagen fibres, and skin revitalisation.

Contraindications

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is not recommended for people with blood diseases, tumours, breastfeeding or pregnant women, or those taking drugs that prolong bleeding time.
