March is the period when poplar pollen counts rise in Poland. These trees begin releasing pollen as early as February, and the pollen season usually lasts until the first half of April. During this time, there may be significant amounts of pollen in the air, which – although less likely to cause allergies than the pollen of some other trees – may contribute to the worsening of symptoms in sensitive individuals.
