Child and Family Focused Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CFF-CBT) is useful in the treatment of children with bipolar affective disorder (BPAD). The therapeutic cycle consists of 12 sessions and actively involves not only the children, but also their parents and siblings. CFF-CBT should be applied in parallel with pharmacotherapy.

A study of 34 patients (mean age 11.33 years) with BPAD who were instructed to attend 12 sessions of CFF-CBT in addition to pharmacotherapy.
