Spider veins and broken capillaries are in fact colloquial terms used to describe telangiectasias, i.e. dilatations of tiny blood vessels close to the skin. They can occur in anyone and at any age, but what are the reasons why broken capillaries appear on our faces, hands or other parts of the body?
