As reported in the September issue of the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, deep low-brain stimulation has no measurable benefit for patients with advanced Parkinson's disease. The only beneficial effect of such therapy appeared to be an improvement in sexual functioning in men.
