Depression in pregnant women can cause abnormal brain ageing in the offspring. The deviation from normal brain development is probably related to anxiety and moodiness during adolescence. The results of the study were presented by neuroscientist Klára Marečková from the CEITEC Institute of Masaryk University in Brno, together with Canadian researchers from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto.
