Depression

Patients repeatedly try to talk to doctors about their psychotic experiences (they ask specific questions which they persistently repeat, they also repeat their statements during and at the end of the consultation). These attempts turn out to be the cause of frequent tensions and difficulties between doctor and patient. Doctors avoid answering, respond with questions, smile or even laugh, thus emphasising their unwillingness to get involved in the world of the patient's experiences.
Listening to the patient, apart from the obvious benefits for both parties, leads to better treatment results and increases the patient's willingness to cooperate.
