Researchers from the Karolinska Institute from Sweden conducted a study on nearly 3,000 patients. Forty-one were diagnosed with breast cancer. The scientists proved that in those who developed breast cancer, gum disease and tooth loss were factors that increased the risk by up to 11 times.
