Duloxetine for patients with fibromyalgia

A study published in the September issue of Arthritis and Rheumatism shows that duloxetine (a drug from the serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor group) is effective in relieving fibromyalgia symptoms (especially pain and hypersensitivity). This effect is independent of the effect of duloxetine on mood disorders accompanying fibromyalgia.
