Nefazodone, used as an antidepressant potentiator, has been shown to be extremely effective and well tolerated by patients with treatment-resistant depression and/or anxiety disorders.

A study of 11 outpatients suffering from treatment-resistant depression and/or anxiety disorders. Nefazodone (decreasing dose, max 50 mg/d) was slowly added to their baseline treatment.
