A febrile convulsion is an affliction that spends sleepless nights for parents. This is hardly surprising, as every epileptic seizure evokes anxiety, fear and apprehension. However, an epileptic seizure does not always have to mean a serious disease of the brain and nervous system. This is the case with febrile convulsions - although they sometimes look very dramatic, their occurrence is usually not associated with serious consequences.
