Many times parents of young patients ask paediatricians how to convince them to reach for healthy snacks. After all, neither doctors nor parents need to be convinced that it is often far from easy to convince a toddler to replace crisps or finger food with fruit or vegetables. It turns out, however, that the solution may be simpler than one might think - researchers at Tilburg University in the Netherlands have found that showing children appropriate television programmes can help shape their eating habits.
