It appears that the age-related decline in plasma testosterone levels is similar in men with Parkinson's disease and those with Alzheimer's disease. This decline, which is a cause of neuropsychiatric symptoms and cognitive impairment in healthy men, may be an additional factor in cognitive impairment in men with neurodegenerative diseases.
