An alcohol vapour inhalation device recently installed in UK bars is increasing the risk of brain damage, according to experts.

The inventor of the device, Dominic Simler, claims that inhaling alcohol reduces the effects of a hangover and makes it harder for police to investigate with a balloon. In contrast, Professor James, a clinician at Newcastle University, believes that the device not only allows people to get drunk quickly, but also increases the danger of brain damage and the development of dementia.

So far, 50 alcohol vapour inhalation devices have been sold. Each costs around £1,500.
