One of the more commonly used medicines by patients with analgesic and antipyretic effects are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These agents are available without a prescription, but this does not mean that they are completely safe to take. A number of side effects of these drugs are highlighted, and news of new ones continues to emerge - recent scientific reports suggest that the use of NSAIDs may lead to hearing impairment.
