The current state of knowledge on the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on the treatment of psoriatic lesions remains limited due to the small number of studies conducted in this direction. Nonetheless, the conclusions that emerge from them indicate an improvement in the condition of psoriatic patients after the inclusion of omega-3 fatty acids in therapy, both in the form of oral supplementation and in the form of emollients applied to the skin. This is because they promote a reduction in inflammation and therefore help to reduce the severity of erythema, infiltration and scaling.
