The fact that oral health negligence poses a risk to the health of the whole body has not been known since yesterday - for years it has been pointed out that oral disease increases the risk of cardiovascular disease or stroke. Recently ,however,researchers at Queen's University Belfast carried out analyses on the link between oral health and the risk of gastrointestinal cancers - they found that there was a clear correlation between dental problems and one of the cancers belonging to this group.
