Fungal stomatitis is a condition that can occur at any age, but most commonly affects women over 50 and older people who have problems fitting dentures. People who are immunocompromised, undergoing long-term steroid therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy or antibiotic therapy are also particularly susceptible to this condition.
