The vast majority of respondents (69%) have a negative opinion of the level of safety for children in Poland and state that the danger has increased compared to the times of their own childhood (84%). Despite this, as many as 64% of respondents consider their locality to be a safe place for children.

Poles want to protect children from dangers. The most frequently indicated way to protect children is to organise clubs and day-care centres for them so that they do not spend time on the street. Every second respondent (53%) is in favour of increasing police vigilance. Slightly less frequently, respondents support some form of obligation on parents to be more concerned about the safety of their own children (46%), advocate arranging playgrounds for children (43%), teaching them to recognise and deal with dangerous situations (41%) or increasing court sentences for child abuse (41%).
One in three respondents broadly states that the best way to make children safer is to make all adults feel responsible for the fate of children.
