The results of a study presented at the 157th annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association indicate that quetiapine effectively treats anxiety symptoms occurring in the course of bipolar affective disorder (BPAD). The researchers emphasise that the antidepressant effect of the antipsychotic drug has thus been proven for the first time.
