On the initiative of the Board of the Polish Psychological Association, a report has been produced, which discusses the current legal acts related to psychological certification. The report consists of three parts. The first is a compilation of the titles of legal acts (laws and executive acts) in force in September 2003, which contain provisions on psychological assessment in 5 areas (education, justice, health, social assistance and occupational health services) and 26 areas of social practice. The second part is an analysis of the content of the provisions (in the form of a table), which allows us to look at psychological jurisprudence from the perspective of the legal regulations, to take a view of the entire jurisprudence practice, to compare the situation of jurisprudence in the different areas, and to define the limits of freedom and professional responsibility of the psychologist-advisor. The last, third part contains a commentary to the previous part - it attempts to outline the picture of jurisprudence that emerges from the legal regulations, with a particular focus on those aspects of jurisprudence that should be the focus of attention of psychological professional organisations or professional self-government.
