Man, in this way, differs from the animal world in that he wants to inquire into the cause of the phenomenon he observes. He wants to investigate it and determine what has led to what he observes. In some fields, this is a desire to learn, to expand knowledge, which in itself is exciting for the scientist. In medicine, however, finding out the cause of a given condition has, in addition to its theoretical dimension, a colossal significance - it helps to halt the development of a disease in its early stages, when it does not yet produce symptoms.
