Both current smoking and past smoking combined with the accumulation of its effects may contribute to psoriasis. This was the conclusion reached by researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University Faculty of Medicine in Boston, and their colleagues studying nurses. The results of their prospective analysis were published in the November issue of the American Journal of Medicine.
