Dysphagia, or swallowing disorders, is a problem that relates to abnormalities in the passage of food from the mouth to the distal parts of the digestive tract. These disorders may have their cause in morphological, nervous or muscular disorders, hence the need for a multidisciplinary consultation in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Likewise, a multidisciplinary approach is required in order to take appropriate treatment measures.
