Ultherapy - is a new variant of apitherapy, i.e. treatment with bee products. What is hive therapy? Can anyone benefit from it?

It has recently been discovered that bee air can be used to support human health. It is produced in the hive during the production of honey. It creates a microclimate there that does not allow any microorganisms to grow. The treatment method in which bee air is used is inhalation. Bee air therapy supports immunity, treats asthma and even depression.

Other indications for ulotherapy are:

  • diseases of the nervous system (neuroses),
  • insomnia,
  • stress relief,
  • chronic fatigue syndrome,
  • cardiovascular diseases (increased pressure),
  • rheumatic diseases
  • respiratory diseases (asthma, bronchitis and other ailments),
  • and in the prevention of other diseases.

What are hive air inhalations?

During ulotherapy, so-called 'Apidomes' are used. These are specially designed houses inside which a hive with bees is placed. Depending on the design and construction, there can be between 2 and 10 hives in one such house. The bees are separated by a fine mesh so that they do not get inside the house, so that people who are allergic to insect venom can also benefit from apitherapy. The mouth of such a hive is placed outside, so that the bees are free to go about their work and a person sitting or resting on a lounger can relax and enjoy the quiet buzz of the working insects and the soothing honey scent from the hive. The very first inhalation can contribute to an improved physical and mental state.

When can you benefit from ulotherapy?

Ultherapy is only carried out during the apiary season. March is usually considered the start of the apiary season. This is determined by the bees' flights, which give us hope that the spring is in full swing and that the weather will soon allow the bees to fly out to collect pollen from the hazel trees. Sometimes, however, there are cold spells in March during which the outside of the hive is quiet.

Ultherapy is not the only method of treatment using bees. Honey, propolis, bee pollen, wax, royal jelly and even venom also have healing properties.
