A diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders (ASD, abbreviated to autism spectrum disorder) is usually only made when children are a few years old, around 5-6 years old, or even later. In the case of these problems, it is, in turn, extremely important to implement therapeutic interventions as early as possible in the affected patients, as this increases the chances of these children achieving better functioning in the future.
