Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the epidermis and dermis. Its hallmarks are increased pruritus and the typical location and area of the lesions. AD is most commonly diagnosed in infants. However, it is not uncommon for its diagnosis to be confusing with Seborrhoeic Dermatitis at an early age.
