The right pediatrician's approach to a child

Adenotomy or removal of the pharyngeal tonsil (third tonsil). Excessive hypertrophy of the pharyngeal tonsil manifests itself in nasal patency disorders, chronic discharge, sleep and concentration disorders and frequent upper respiratory tract infections. Adenotomy is often categorised as a minimally invasive procedure that is safe and carries minimal risk of complications. Qualification for the procedure takes place during an ENT consultation, which includes a medical history, ENT examination and sometimes imaging studies.
