The ink painting on the skin, commonly known as a tattoo, still arouses mixed feelings - for some it is a decoration, others believe it disfigures the body. Its history dates back to 2000 BC.

It is from this period that wall paintings have been discovered, allowing us to assume that already at that time primitive man knew the technique of tattooing. The Romans "marked" slaves and criminals with drawings on the skin, while the Saxons tattooed their family coat of arms. Tattooing also played an important role in rituals.
