What is laser therapy?

The combination of knowledge from fields such as medicine and physics has allowed laser therapy to be used by specialists in many fields of medical science, among others, it has come to the aid of dermatologists. Lasers in aesthetic medicine, in recent years, have gained in importance and at the same time have become a very important working tool. It is thanks to the introduction of lasers into medicine that many ailments or imperfections can be treated or eliminated, and the treatment itself has, in most cases, excellent results and effects. Thanks to the use of lasers, it is possible to get rid of pigmented lesions, unwanted hair and remove unwanted tattoos as well as skin lesions resulting from disease. Work is constantly being carried out to improve the equipment and apparatus so that laser treatments are more effective, more efficient and require the shortest possible recovery time.[1]

Argonlaser

One of the lasers that are used in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery is the argon laser. In many cases, argon laser therapy is the only treatment that can be undertaken. A definite indication for the use of the argon laser is complaints and discomfort arising from such imperfections of our skin as telangiectasia, spider veins, rosacea, venous ponds, warts, warts, nevi (excluding pigmented lesions), growths, skin discolouration or tattoos. The laser has proved to be a breakthrough in the treatment of some of these conditions, such as rosacea or hemangiomas (congenital skin patches with a pink or dark purple colour), as before the laser found its therapeutic application, these types of lesions were excised and replaced with skin grafts, resulting in scarring in most cases. When lasers are used, unwanted scarring can be avoided in 75% of cases. The same is true for dilated blood vessels, which thanks to the laser are closed without damaging the skin, which is a common result of using the needle electrocoagulation method. [2]

Preparation for the treatment

The preparation for the procedure, as well as the time and period of its performance, depend only on the individual predisposition and ailment of the patient. Following a specialist consultation, the doctor will provide individual indications or contraindications for argon laser treatment. [3]
