Bond between child and father

It is often said that fathers are not involved enough in raising children and running the home. Are we still dealing with the stereotype that women are mainly responsible for the home? Or do mothers themselves not quite like sharing their responsibilities with the head of the family?

The expert's voice is confirmed by the result of the study 'Polish women about themselves', according to which as many as 88 per cent of grocery shopping decisions are made by women, 66 per cent of which are made entirely by themselves. The aforementioned photo is a perfect illustration of these statistics. Of course, there may be many reasons for this, and it may not necessarily be that men are less willing to help. One of them is probably the fact that women are more familiar with baby food.

But, dear men, there is nothing to lose: just follow a few basic rules when choosing your products to make the right purchase. - First of all, read the labels, paying particular attention to the composition of the products - both meals and drinks. Here, it is worth asking the child's mother, who is already familiar with the subject, or a dietician what ingredients and in what proportions are best for the child, suggests the specialist.

The same should be done when choosing drinks for the child. - When choosing juices, avoid those that contain high amounts of sugars and artificial colouring and flavouring substances. The most important, however, is water, which should be one of the main liquids given to babies, says Iwona Gryszkin, a children's dietician. When choosing it, one should carefully read the composition indicated on the label.

In order not to spend the whole day browsing through the shop shelf, it is good to focus only on those proposals that are intended for children and pregnant women. Manufacturers have made sure that they are easy to find among other products. Therefore, look for bottles marked with a recommendation of institutions specialising in nurturing the health of the youngest, such as the Child Health Centre.
