The basic component of nervous tissue is nerve cells (so-called neurons) together with glial cells. The function of the latter is irreplaceable (from protective to nutritional or participation in the construction of myelin sheaths around axons). Unfortunately, tumours can develop from glial cells because they have not lost their ability to divide cells. Gliomas are tumours that arise from the glial cells of the brain and spinal cord. What do we know about brain gliomas?
