Asperger's syndrome (AS) is a syndrome of holistic developmental disorders that is often not diagnosed early. This is caused by apparently normal speech development, which puts those around them to sleep.

Refined language and mechanical memory
Speech development proceeds seemingly normally, but language already abounds at a young age with adult and scientific statements. Children with ZA have difficulty using speech to communicate. They may have difficulty adjusting the rhythm or accent of spoken words. They do not understand figurative or ambiguous words. Their speech is very formal and pedantic. A child with ZA may often surprise you with their extensive, almost academic knowledge of a chosen topic. However, he or she memorises facts in a mechanical way while presenting difficulties in abstract reasoning.

Despite the developmental difficulties, children with Asperger syndrome integrate relatively easily into school or kindergarten life. However, therapy and constant care from the psychological-educational counselling centre are indispensable to help adapt the learning process to the individual needs of the pupil.
