Healthy diet for baby

When a baby grows, its nutritional needs grow with it. A complete diet of 4 to 5 meals a day is necessary for the proper development of the toddler. Every meal and even every ingredient is important. See what a good diet for a baby should look like.

A good meal for a child is one that is both tasty and valuable. Therefore, the good quality of the ingredients and the way they are prepared are equally important. You must always remember to carefully wash and peel vegetables and meat. If you want to ensure that your food is full of nutritional value, cook it in steam. This is the best way to preserve the taste of the products and limit the loss of vitamins and trace elements. You can also boil food in water, stew or bake. Avoid salt and limit sugar. Remember that your baby's delicate taste buds do not need spicy seasoning, it is enough if you add a little delicate herbs to the food.

An easily digestible dinner

Meals eaten in the late afternoon and evening should be easily digestible and have a calming effect. If you want your baby to fall asleep peacefully, you can give him BoboVita fruit-flavoured milk and cereal porridge "Tasty Supper". Never skip dinner; try to make it a time when you and your children can sit together at the same table. This is a great opportunity to build bonds between family members.

Remember that nutritional richness is also determined by the quality of the products you use to prepare meals for your baby. You should choose organic farming products for your child. If you do not have access to organic food, pay particular attention to the origin of the products you buy. Find reliable suppliers in your area. Avoid highly processed products with a long shelf life, preservatives, colourings, flavourings, high amounts of fat. Bread, sausage, porridge, milk, vegetables or fruit should meet the highest quality requirements for baby food.

Simple rules

The basic principles of a healthy diet are variety and regularity of the baby's food intake. The baby should eat every 3-4 hours, with breakfast, lunch and dinner being the most important meals. The second breakfast and afternoon snack supplement the diet. If your child is very active, they may need to supplement their diet with healthy, smaller meals such as fresh fruit. However, you should decide whether to expand your toddler's menu after consulting your doctor or dietician.

Your child's plate should contain cereal products, vegetables and fruit, milk and dairy products every day. Two or three times a week you should give your toddler lean meat and once or twice a week fish. The child should drink water and unsweetened pureed juices, preferably diluted with water. If you give your child juices, remember that excess is not advisable - juice is also a source of nutrients that should be included in the child's daily diet. Children up to 3 years of age are developing very intensively, so it is important to provide them with all the necessary nutrients with their meals: carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and fibre.
